Budleigh Salterton Pebble Bed
A view along the Cliff face , towards Budleigh Salterton ,showing the Pebble Bed .
The Beds, about 30m thick, are well-exposed in the cliffs.
The pebble beds were deposited by large fast flowing rivers that flowed into the Triassic desert about 240 million year ago.
Otter Sandstone above , Some beds of Sandstone are devoid of pebbles.
