South Cornwall - Geology

Devonian Slate - Britain Point (S31)
Lower Devonian Slates (408-386 myo) , show up well at Britain Point ( about 400m West of Portwrinkle ).
The rocks are from the Dartmouth Group - layed down under non marine conditions.
The thin beds with folds are steeply inclined .
