Gneiss can be seen as boulders deposited on the rocky beach at Polpeor Cove , they are some of the oldest rocks
in Cornwall , a metamorphosed Granite - 500 million year old , named after the 'Man of War' Islet.
The boulders have been brought in by the waves from the nearby Islets and Offshore Reefs
