A footpath - signposted "Chimney Rock" - leads off the Coast Path and climbs steeply up to the Clifftop.
Chimney Rock , a Chert Crag jutting out from the top of the Cretaceous Cliffs , takes its name from the
resemblance to a house with a chimney on it .
A famous viewpoint in times past , before the trees and scrub took over.
