A wider view from the Sea Wall of the terraced 'Black Ven' , with Charmouth in the distance.
Black Ven is subject to Landslips , with the western end - The Spittles - subject to a major event in 2008 .
As a result the contents of an old rubbish tip can be found in a 300m long terrace of material at the base of the cliff.
Fossils (pyritised and calcified ammonites) can be found protruding through the surface of the slumping clays below Black Ven near Charmouth.
