From Lyme Regis the new Eastern Sea Wall and Promenade passes Church Cliff to reach the beach.
Before the Sea Walls were built Church Cliff was an important fossil collecting area for Mary Anning (1799-1847).
The Blue Lias Cliffs are vertical and consist of alternating bands of Jurassic age Grey Mudstones with thin beds of Limestone.
The Coast Path heads inland (following Roads). On a low tide it is possible to walk along the beach to Charmouth
