If the 'The South Dorset Ridgeway' is followed to Wear Hill , this view appears , over St Catherines Chapel , towards Portland .
A fine view of Chesil Bank and 'The Fleet' Lagoon - the 8.2 mile long expanse of saline water .
A few parking spaces on a minor road , on the ridgeway off the B3157 Coast Road or Layby's on the B3157 itself ,are near this viewpoint.
