Near the Coast Path ( info. board nearby ) - the Car Park is close by.
Rhizoconcretions are carbonate (usually calcite)
concretions around the roots of plants.
They develop in semi-arid areas where carbonate-rich groundwater moves upwards by capillary action
because of evaporation at the surface in the dry season.
The Triassic examples have both vertical and subhorizontal roots.
