Mount Misery Cross
The Cross together with a stone wall and gate posts from the old Foxtor Farm - fine views over the infamous Foxtor Mires
The Farm land was cleared of rocks and enclosed from the 1800's , a miseable place to try and cultivate crops - hence the name.
The Cross is on the Maltern Way - an early monastic track between Buckfast and Buckland Abbeys.

Location - To the East of Childes Tomb
Possible Route - From Childes Tomb follow the wall ( streams need to be negotiated ) to the prominent Gate Posts
a raised bank / animal tracks can then be followed up Ter Hill.
