In August 2010 Ditsworthy Warren House was used as a filming location for the Steven Spielberg film, War Horse,
serving as the Narracott family's farmhouse.
Ditsworthy Warren was the largest rabbit warren in England, in use for at least 200 years until 1947.
The rabbits lived in Pillow Mounds , 54 have been found - 8m wide X 1.3m high and from 6 to 35m in length .
Rabbit warrens provided meat and fur and were often associated with the tin industry .
Opencast tin workings operated in this area.
