A section of Drake's Leat and Clapper Bridge , near Clearbrook.
The 18.5 mile leat (1590-1) , a simple ditch and bank was dug in five months
and ran from above the Burrator Reservoir to Plymouth.
The Burrator Reservoir (1891) covers the upper part of Drake's Leat.
Parts of the leat are still visible on the moor at Roborough Down .
Much of the leat was lined with granite slabs in 1871.
