Parts of the building may be of Saxon origin (pre 1066)
The Churchyard Cross is modern with a 15C base.
Beuno is an important 6th century Welsh saint , one of the many missionaries who visited the West of England.

From the Church the Coast Path continues through woodland (few views) to the Devon border ,
or another path climbs up to Silcombe Farm - and follows farm lanes /
green paths with views of Exmouth hill farms and South Wales in the distance .
