Stalldown Stone Row - Cornwood Maidens

The last few standing stones over the crest of the hill are known as The Cornwood Maidens and rise as high as 2.6 m.
These four large stones can be seen from miles away all over the Southern Moor ,
appearing like walkers striding over the hilltop.
About 8 fallen stones can be seen further on.

Another 2km to the north is the Stall Moor Stone Row, the longest Row at 3.3km.
The southern section up to the River Erme is the best , the river can be difficult or impossible to cross.
