This is the first building to be built - The Clarence Store - named after The Duke of Clarence (King William IV) .
The Building has a 7 bay raised and projecting centre.
Just to the south of this long building is Clarence Steps with a grand double flight of steps and gatepiers
with cast iron gates , it provided a seaward ceremonial entrance for visiting VIP'S.
Near the Steps a steel staircase ( 2013) which rises to the top of the 12m defensive wall around the Yard ,
allowing the Coast Path to continue around Devil's Point and past Firestone Bay.
