Smeaton Tower / Memorial
From the end of the Mount Batten Breakwater a view of Smeaton's Tower and the Navy Memorial
on Plymouth Hoe.
The memorial (1924) built for the Royal Navy to commemorate sailors who had died at sea
and had no known grave.
Expanded following WW2 to commemorate the dead from that war.
