Pegmatite / Aplite - Cape Cornwall (S17)
A granite sheet ( adjoining the concrete wall of the Swimming Pool ) runs across the foreshore ,
showing fine grained Aplite and Pegmatite with coarse crystals .
Magma injected along fractures cooled under the influence of water at different rates ,
creating different size crystals.
