Built on the ramparts of an Iron Age Fort - Castle-an-Dinas ,
with fine views over St. Michael's Mount and Mounts Bay .
Built of Granite rubble with rubble dressings for John Rogers (1750-1832) in 1798 ,
so that it could be seen from his home at Treassowe Manor.
Of Gothic style with 4 corner turrets , each crowned with rounded pinnacles.
Flanking the central pointed doorway , facing south east , are 2 identical turrets with shouldered-arched window
to the fronts and outer sides and blind slits over. The rear turrets are blind.
