A shipwreck can be seen in Castle Zawn below Maen Castle
Maen Castle is the site of an Iron Age Hillfort - 'Cliff Castle' - built between 800 and 400 BC ,
possibly one of the earliest defended sites in prehistoric West Penwith.
An entrance passage with Granite Jambs and a rock-cut ditch with a stone rampart can be seen.
