during the Pleistocene Period (110,000-10,000 years ago) ,the largest scree system in Devon.
Beach below with an old lime kiln once supplied with Coal and Limestone from South Wales
The Coast path drops down to the Valley floor before climbing up the other side.
Hunters Inn (Hotel 1897) with Car Parking is inland -1500m.
