Rhyolite Lava Flow - Kingsand (S31)
The foreshore east of Kingsand shows a Permian Age ( 290 MYO ) Rhyolite Lava Flow .
The red rock has a flat surface , a wave cut platform formed when sea levels were higher than now,
and shows crude columnar joints.
