Whitsand Beach
From near Polhawn Fort , a view to the west along Wiggle Cliff and over the rocky eastern end of Whitsand Bay .
Whitsand Bay has a 3+ miles beach , the sandy beaches are reached by a maze of paths .

Polhawn Battery built 1862/7 armed with 7 - 64 pounder rifled muzzle-loading guns in armoured casemates.
Sold in 1927 now a hotel (Polhawn Fort).
