Steeple Rock - the stack at the Western end of the Sands at Kynance .
A pinnacle of Tremolite Serpentinite.
In the foreground is an outcrop of Pink Microgranite (Gneiss).

Most of the Rocks in Kynance Cove are of Tremolite Serpentinite , as is Lion Rock and the Islands off Kynance ,
as well as the Cliffs to the West up to Rill Point .
The Tremolite Serpentinite is fine grained and banded.

The East side of Kynance Cove (East of a Fault) is of Bastite Serpentinite.
The Bastite Serpentinite is coarse-grained with a distinct metallic lustre ,
the large shiny crystals of Bastite give a flecked appearance.
