At the base of Cockington Cliff is an impressive geological feature - An anticline .
Thick, medium and thinly-bedded sandstones with shale partings of the Bude Formation folded into an anticline
with angular hinge zone.
To the south of Cockington Cliff the coast path crosses the beach , the Anticline is 100+m. to the north .
