Durdle Door - 2
The natural arch of Durdle Door has been cut by the sea through the almost vertical Purbeck Limestones and Portland Freestone.
From the Land the Arch shows mainly Purbeck stromatolitic Limestones .
Small Holes (25cm) left by late Jurassic trees and larger Thrombolites (2m) are visible in the Arch.
