A headland in the Chalk Cliffs.
Chalk is a White Coccolithic Limestone , the youngest of the Jurassic Coasts Rocks.
Formed at the end of the Cretaceous period in a tropical sea by a Green Algae - Coccolithophores - discarding their tiny protective shields of calcium carbonate.
Vast numbers of the shields (coccoliths) collected on the sea floor and when compacted over time formed the White Chalk.
