Another smaller quarry .
An old Cannon ,mounted on a plinth ,from the 'Haleswell' ?, wrecked in 1786 at Haleswell Bars (west of Seacombe) , while on route to India.
166 passenger died in this tragic incident.
Looking over the edge of the Quarry floor reveals the Prickle Bed ledge with a lumpy and irregular structure through nodular cementation
and bioturbation by Decapod Crustaceans (crabs)
Thalassinoides Burrows and eroded giant Ammonites are also present.
