There are four groups of medieval strip lynchets situated on the slopes of spurs at East and West Man on either side of Winspit Bottom.
The terraces seen here are a type of medieval agricultural terracing ,
Banks of earth that build up when a field is ploughed over a long time.
This photo is of a field near the top of the path through Seacombe Bottom near Worth Matravers.
