Crumpled Strata - Stair Hole Cove - Lulworth (S43)
In the Eastern Cliff at Stair Hole is a cross-section through the famous 'Lulworth Crumple' .
The strata was deformed by Tectonic earth movements during the Alpine Orogeny (when the Alps were being formed).
