Red Crane
Red Crane on the extensive layers of quarried Portland Stone , the old Whim used to lower Limestone blocks onto the boats
Now used for lowering fishing boats , a Blow Hole erupts here in the right conditions.
At the top of the cliff is a Pleistocene raised beach about 125,000 years old with abundant mollusc shells.
The beach huts sit on the raised beach which runs along the low cliff edge for 1000m past the Lighthouse.
