Belemnite Pavement - Seatown
From the beach between Seatown and Golden Cap .
A view over the exposed platform - a thin bed of Argillaceous Limestone - containing fossils , mainly Belemnites , to Ridge Cliff.
The squid-like creatures tail, the skeleton made of calcite , is the part commonly found as a fossil.
The platform is sometimes covered by shingle.
