Higher Dunscombe Cliff

The Cliff rises above Salcombe Regis Valley. A step path leads down to the beach at Salcombe Mouth
Triassic Mercia Mudstone (220 MYO) topped unconformably with Cretaceous Upper Greensand (80 MYO)
( used as a building stone and locally called Salcombe Stone ) and some Chalk with Flint on top.
The Jurassic Rocks have eroded away leading to 'The Unconformity'
between the Triassic and much younger Cretaceous Rocks.
