Pebble Bed - Budleigh Salterton (S39)

The Pebble Beds, about 30m thick, are well-exposed in the cliffs.
They form a red coarse conglomerate, poorly cemented but with a firm matrix of coarse sand.
The pebble beds (240 MYO) were deposited by large fast flowing rivers that flowed into the Triassic desert
