From near Orcombe Point a view over Sandy Bay towards Straight Point
The Cliff belong to the "Aylesbeare Mudstone Group", dating from about 250 MYA.
The Triassic Rocks (252-201 MYA ) are Red because Deserts contained very little organic material leading to Iron forming Red Oxides.
