Located on the north bank of the North Teign River below Scorhill Down , east of the clapper bridges , opposite the Stone Walls around Batworthy.
Known as the Tolmen Stone, water has worn a hole through a large boulder.
When the river level is low, you can climb through the hole.
It may have been used in a similar way to 'Maen-an-Tol' - the famous Cornish Stone .
Tradition states that anyone who does manage to pass through the stone will have immunity from all rheumatic disorders.
