Middle Staple Tor - Tinners Hut
A fine examble of a Tinners Hut , with its Chimney , at the top of Beckamoor Combe .
Middle Staple Tor to the East and Cox Tor to the North West
Since the Bronze age man has exploited the Cassiterite (Tin ore ) deposits.
The Tinners built their huts in the remotest areas of the moor , near where they worked , to stream the deposits.
