Meldon Reservoir
Looking down on the Reservoir, from the permissive path above the southern end.
The island , probably an outcrop of a granitic dyke is a nature reserve
The Reservoir (1972) , holds 680 million gallons of water in the valley of the West Okement River .

Route - Follow the path from the Meldon Car park around the Reservoir .
Or from Prewley Moor car park , uphill to the West Devon way , To the North
then right at a cross track from the Water Works - on a permissive path.
