Bayard's Cove is Dartmouth's original wharf with an attractive group of C17, 18 ,19 houses, including the old Custom House.
The Pilgrim Fathers moored here in 1620 ,on their way to America ,for repairs to their ships - the Mayflower and the Speedwell.
The Coast Path passes through Bayard's Cove Fort (1509/10) to the South of the Cove .
