The stone on Lee Moor is a true Menhir which dates back to the Bronze Age
, one of only 3 examples of an isolated stone not connected to other
monuments, and in unlikely settings for boundary or marker stones -
others are Beardown Man (SX 596 796) and Harbourne Head (SX 696 650)
Legend has ‘The Hanging Stone’ causing the death of a local trying to steal a Sheep.
