A view from Prawle Point to Langerstone Point , with Start Point in the distance
Ancient wave cut platforms of rocks with a green hue - matamorphic rocks -
Lower Devonian Hornblende - Chlorite Schists ,
left stranded by falling sea levels are a feature of this part of the Coast
Overlain at the back of the platform is a fossilised raised beach of Ipswichian age
overlain by Periglacial Head carried down by solifluction.
This head platform extends back to outcrops of the former cliff line ,
shown by the Crags - 'The Torrs' - in the pic.
