Sand Rock cliffs below Saunton Down - northern side of Saunton Sands
Sand rock - Small pebbles and Shingle Beds in a Calcareous sandy matrix (possibly Ipswichian Interglacial -
125,000 years old) , above the Wave Cut Platform of Pilton Shales - Hard folded rocks.

Nearby (SS 4403 3787) , a 12 tonne Glacial Erratic - a boulder of Pink Gneissose Granite possibly from
Gruinard Bay , Western Ross, Scotland , carried by ice sheets (possibly 450,000 years ago)
and deposited when the glaciers retreated.
