A section of the Great Western Reave - South of White Tor.
A Reave is a straight boundary wall made of stone , built during the Bronze Age.
Great Western Reave is the longest Reave in Dartmoor, over 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) long ,
running from beyond White Tor in the North over Roos Tor,
through Merrivale to near Sharpitor in the South.
Reaves were Identified as prehistoric features on Dartmoor in 1972.
