The Longstone stands on the eastern slopes of Shovel Down and is part of the large Shovel Down
group of ceremonial monuments
The 3.1m tall , 4 ton Long Stone stands in the middle of two stone rows , and has been used as a boundary stone ,
it appears to be the terminal stone for a Bronze Age Stone Row
Letters inscribed on the Stone : C for Chagford, GP for Gidleigh Parish and DC for Duchy of Cornwall .

The very small Three Boys standing stone marks the southern end of one of the stone rows.
It is the only survivor of three such stones known as the Three Boys.
