The impressive mossy Forest floor of Fernworthy Coniferous Forest .
The forest of 1400 acres , first planted in 1921 by the Duchy of Cornwall, by the 1930's
over 800 arces of moorland was afforested.
Fernworthy is the largest woodland in Dartmoor and produces Sitka Spruce, Douglas Fir and Japanese Larch.
