Gentlemens Bathing Place
A secluded bathing area at the Northern end of Oddicombe Beach , below Petit Tor Point.
Mixed bathing only took place here in 1899.
The headland of Devonian Limestone is hard , very fractured with red sediments and white Calcite.
The Landslips have caused a diversion and The Coast Path climbs up to Babbacombe .
The Babbacombe Cliff Railway ( Cliff Lift ), opened in 1926 , can be used.
