Raised Beach - Hope's Nose (S37)
Raised Beach Pebble Beds over Boulders and the Devonian Limestone Bedrock
Topped with Cemented Sands - Oyster Shell bed here.
The Raised beach , 9 metres above sea-level , is 'Ipswichian ' in age , a deposit of the last interglacial period ,
about 125,000 - 210,000 years ago.
