This Itallianated Villa is a survivor amongst the more modern developments on the Hills overlooking the harbour.
This striking building , formerly Villa Lugano, is prominent from many points in Torquay.
It is said to have been built for the first American Ambassador to England.
Lower Down - one of torquays terraces - Beacon Terrace ( 1833 by Jacob Harvey) climbs up Beacon Road.
