Radford Castle
After walking around Cattedown , across Laira bridge , through Oreston to Hooe Lake.
The Coast Path passes through the arch in the Mock Gothic Castle and follows the Causeway (1815)
between Radford Lake and the tidal Hooe Lake .
The Castle and Bridge are eyecatchers of Radford Mansion , home to the Harris family of Radford ,
demolished in 1937
The road down to the causeway - Kingfisher Way - gives a clue to the likely wildlife to be seen on
Radford Lake - look out for Otters as well.
