The Warfleet name comes from the old english Welflut (stream that runs down to the creek)
In the valley behind is a large stone building from 1819 .
Warfleet Mills was built as a paper mill , later used as a Brewery until 1929.
Dartmouth Pottery used the building from 1948 to 2002.
