The view , to the North, from Balk Quarry , near Church Cove.
Balk Quarry is an old Serpentine Quarry .
During WW2 aggregate from Balk was used in the construction of Predannack airfield.
A short track off the Coast Path , through the scrub , leads to the Quarry.
