Pillow Lavas - Pentire Head (S10)
The Cliffs and Crags between Pentire Head and The Rumps , with their distinctive bulbous rocks
are largely of Pillow Lavas .
Highly Vesicular with tiny holes showing in the surface.
This photo is of a section of rock facing North , adjacent to the Coast Path , with concentric layers
of Amygdules (vesicles infilled with a secondary mineral)
